Friday 26th February 2021 - Goodman Swings Again
The band comprises five very accomplished musicians, who have lived and played all over the world. Currently they all live on the Gold Coast and have many years of experience playing most genres of music between them.
With the arrival of Trevor Rippingale from Sydney in 2015 the band developed a distinct flavor of the Goodman era with Trevor’s interpretation of the music. This has proved very popular with regular work featuring the Goodman Swings collaboration.
The material they play, dates back to the period when swing was at it’s most popular and strongest, being the nineteen thirties and forties.
The band comprises of Owen Smith on drums, John Edwards on bass, Colin Jones on trumpet & flugel horn, Harry Lynn on piano & keyboard and Trevor Rippingale on clarinet, sax & flute.
